Novak Djokovic says it is a ‘career goal’ of his to beat the most important records set by Roger Federer, but he drew level with him on another one in Rome.
Djokovic beat Salvatore Caruso 6-3, 6-2 at the Italian Open on Wednesday to win his first match since his US Open disqualification.

Another vitory and he will take second place outright on the list, although he is still some way behind Rafael Nadal’s 182.

The dominance of Spanish players on the red dirt is very well highlighted on the list, with Federer, Djokovic, and Tomas Berdych the only no-Spaniards in the top nine.
Alexander Zverev will be hoping his recently-appointed coach David Ferrer can pass on some tips to him, and Nadal’s current coach Carlos Moya also makes the list.
