No measurements for rice. Each variety of rice may hold water to a different proportion.You have to see and accordingly.

Mam,does covering the grinder with lid while grinding spoil the fluffiness
No connection between both.Grinding with correct measurement, consistency are only important.

Wash the grinder with hot water and mix with batter. Use one woolen blanket to cover the sides to keep it warm. It will help to raise the batter . Keep for 24 hours
